4th of July Events In Michigan 2020

26 October, 2020

Michigan,

4th of July is shaping up to be a very different holiday this year. Usually full of backyard BBQ’s, large scale fireworks displays, and outdoor events. With Governor Whitmer announcing that plans to reopen the state will be slowed, 4th of July events are being axed. We have the most up-to-date list of fun events happening near you this weekend.

Kalamazoo Speedway

The Kalamazoo Speedway’s season opener is on July 3rd! Great for families, kids 10 and under are free to this event. Watch 5 races and enjoy a fireworks show after!

Alpha Michigan Brewing Company has an all day celebration, starting at 8 in the morning, with a parade, food from local trucks, games for kids, and live music. The brewery opens at 10am and stays serving beer until the start of fireworks. AMBC gives a portion of all their profits to local charities so you can feel good about spending your day with them!

Frankenmuth Free Firework celebration is still planning on having their annual blowout. This show will be sans other normal activities, so come early to get your spot and bring some bug spray! They will also be hosting a virtual race that you can participate in! This race funds fireworks shows in the future, so they remain free. With your donation you receive a commemorative t-shirt, medal and race number for your archives.

FireRock Fireworks is one of the only fireworks celebrations still happening in the Grand Rapids area.  With live music, outdoor eating, and a buffet spread, this is a one stop shop for fun. A great outdoor venue means that everyone will have a good view, so come by and post up for the 4th.

If you are hosting a party at your home be sure to check out our easy ways to upgrade your backyard. This will turn your home into your own private oasis.

Whichever way you choose to celebrate, we hope that you have a safe and happy holiday!
